What's the status of Arden Park?

The park is open with new trails, a new playground and shelter building. Minnehaha Creek, which had been hidden behind buckthorn and overgrowth, now can be seen throughout the park. Visitors can walk right up to the water for fishing, tubing or just to enjoy the view.

Some work will happen in spring and summer 2020, including adding more trees and plants and establishing the grassy areas. Visitors can expect to see crews at work from time to time, but no major closures are expected.

You can learn more about this project, a joint effort of the City of Edina and Minnehaha Creek Watershed District, at EdinaMN.gov/ArdenParkProject.
