Braemar Golf Dome Sees Record Numbers in January, Wins Awards

Edina, Minn., Jan. 31, 2020 – Braemar Golf Dome, 7420 Braemar Blvd., has become one of Toptracer Range’s top facilities in participation and usage globally.

At the 2020 PGA Merchandise Show & Education Conference in Orlando, Florida, Braemar received two “Tracie Awards” from the Toptracer company. The “Challenge Champ Award” honors the facility with the largest participation in its global 9-Shot Challenge among 200 other facilities worldwide. The “Leaderboard Dominator Award” recognizes the facility with the highest number of golfers on its daily global leaderboard.

Braemar Golf Dome receives these awards just three months after the Toptracer Range technology debuted at the facility.

“We’re thrilled our golf community has embraced this new addition to the Braemar Golf Dome. Receiving these awards and seeing the usage numbers tell us that Edina golfers are excited about the Toptracer Range technology being right in their backyard,” said Braemar Golf Course General Manager Joe Abood.

In the month of January, the Toptracer Range tracked 984,252 golf shots -- an average of 2,343 golf shots hit every hour the golf dome is open. More than 4,300 golfing hours were spent in the “My Practice Mode,” and 2,530 golfing hours were logged in the “Virtual Golf Mode,” playing courses like Pebble Beach Golf Links and St. Andrews Links.

“We had a record January in both customer visits and revenue,” said Abood about the golf dome.

The Braemar Golf Dome is the only indoor driving range in Minnesota equipped with Toptracer Range, the same ball-tracking technology the pros use. It shows the ball’s flight path, offers instant shot replays and data including ball speed, launch angle, carry, curve and hang time.
