Edina Police Assist Gunshot Victim

Edina, Minn., Dec. 28, 2021 – The Edina Police Department was called Monday, Dec. 27, to assist a man who had been shot several times.

At 8:51 p.m., the Police Department was requested by Hennepin EMS to respond to the intersection of France Avenue and 65th Street to assist with a gunshot victim. The 23-year-old man was driving alone in a vehicle and stopped to ask Hennepin EMS for help.

According to Police, the victim appeared to have been shot multiple times and was transported by Hennepin EMS to Hennepin County Medical Center where he is being treated. The victim was uncooperative and would not say where the shooting occurred, but stated it did not occur in Edina.

The Edina Police Department is actively investigating the incident.
