Public art has been a priority in Edina since 2004. The Arts & Culture Commission oversees the City's public art efforts and runs the Public Art Edina program. The City provides $10,000 annually as seed money to jump start projects, with additional funds coming from grants, and corporate and private donors. To donate, contact the Edina Community Foundation.
As part of the Public Art Edina program, the public voted for the People's Choice Awards among the 2017 rotating exhibits. In 2018, the Edina Education Fund and the Arts & Culture Commission held a competition among Edina elementary school students as part of an arts curriculum, with three winners' entries made into full art pieces placed on the Edina Promenade.
