Hennepin County owns the 7.7-acre parcel currently occupied by the Southdale Regional Library. In recent years, the County Service Center has relocated to Southdale Center Mall and the Court Facility will be relocated to Ridgedale in 2019. While the County intends to construct a new regional library, a specific time frame or location is not yet available.
In 2016, the Edina HRA worked collaboratively with the County to investigate potential re-use options for a portion of the site. Those conceptual materials can be found here.
