Kids explore police car during Night to Unite

Each year, Edina neighborhoods join forces with communities statewide for the “Night to Unite” crime prevention event. Neighbors are encouraged to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors.

  • Get to know one another in your neighborhood
  • Build neighborhood involvement by bringing first responders and communities together
  • Bring awareness to crime prevention and local law enforcement efforts

Night to Unite Registration

    Confirmation: Confirmations are sent via email. If you do not receive a confirmation within seven days, please call the Edina Police Department at 952-826-1610.

    If you need to block a street, you must also fill out a block party form.

    Please order your visitor preference below. If it does not matter to you who attends, please check "Any Visitor is Fine." 

    Although we attempt to schedule a visit for every registered event, sometimes circumstances  cause our staff to be redirected or tied up beyond the time of your group's gathering. A request does not guarantee your preferred selection.

    Please let us know if you are collecting donations. Police Reserves will pick up food between 6 and 9 p.m. August 2. If you have scheduled a pickup and we don't make it by 9 p.m., please have someone drop off the items at the Edina Police Department, 4801 W. 50th St., at the conclusion of your event or the following day.

    The Minnesota Data Practices Act requires that we inform you of your rights about the private data we are requesting on this form. The following data contained on this form will be considered private data pursuant to M.S. 13.348: the telephone number and email address. We need this data to register you for an event and to contact you if necessary. Edina staff will have access to the data you provide to administer the program. You are not legally required to provide the data; however, refusing to supply the data may cause your event registration to not be processed. Your acceptance here indicates you have read and understand these rights.
