The Edina Engineering Department is the City's contract manager for the construction of municipal utilities and roads, associated with redevelopment of aging City infrastructure and new developments. 

The Engineering Department is responsible for planning, design, management,  and construction of the City's infrastructure, including streets, storm, sanitary, water, and street lighting. This provides core transportation, sanitation, and clean water services to residents and businesses.


The Engineering Department is made up of Design and Construction Services Division, Engineering Services Division, Facilities Maintenance Division, and Transportation Services Division.
