March 15 – April 18
Opening Reception: 5-8 p.m., Thursday, March 15
Louise Gillis is a recognized contemporary realist painter. Her knowledge of impressionistic color theory sets the stage for figurative, still life and landscapes in oil and watercolor. Her realistic painting is a powerful creative force transferring vision into a painted image.
A full time artist, Louise Gillis makes her home in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. She has been an instructor at the Edina Art Center for many years offering classes in oil, watercolor, life drawing, realistic drawing and painting. Louise takes great pride in the craftsmanship of her work and believes that all great art is a reflection of the individual's interpretation of the beauty of nature. Take in the splendor of the personally expressive and masterful paintings by Louise Gillis in the exhibition, Moments in Everyday Life, paintings by Louise Gillis.
