Some fitness classes and health programs are resuming in person. At home classes also are still available. 

Registration is required for many classes and recommended for others. Unless otherwise listed:

Step To It Challenge 

Help Edina compete against other local communities in this fun and free four-week event designed for everyone. There is potential to win prizes throughout the month. The challenge runs May 1-28. Registration begins April 1 at Call 952-833-9571 for more information.

Fit Feet: Morning Social Walk

Bring your own coffee and walk at your own pace as we stroll Edina parks and trails each Tuesday in April at 9 a.m. Free; registration required.


Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout. Led by instructor Kim Cooper, the workout is easily modified, and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities. Cost is $30 per session and pre-registration is required.

  • Session 1 - Thursdays April 8-29; 10:30-11:15 a.m. 
  • Session 2 - Thursdays May 6-27; 10:30-11:15 a.m.

Active & Strong

Treat yourself to good movement and fun. Participants can sit or stand as exercises are adapted for all levels of physical ability. Instructor is Patty Anderson. Cost is $30 per session and pre-registration is required.

  • Session 1 - Mondays May 3-24; 9-10 a.m.

Agility, Balance, Core Strength Class

The ABC class is part of the "Little Moves Big Result" series that is low-impact (no floor exercises) and is designed for the beginner- to intermediate-level senior. This is a 45-minute class taught by Christy Zilka, a certified personal trainer specializing in Senior Fitness. Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring water. Silver Sneakers and Silver and Fit members are encouraged to attend; class cost could be waived once verified. Cost is $18 per session and pre-registration is required.

  • Session 1 - Tuesdays and Thursdays; May 11-27; 2:15-3 p.m.
  • Session 2 - Tuesdays and Thursdays; May 11-27; 3:15-4 p.m.

Get Active, Stay Active

In need of motivation to get your body moving? Does the idea of having more energy and flexibility sound appealing? During this class, you will create your personal plan of action, get support from others and celebrate little steps that lead to healthy changes. You will experience fun movements to start new habits of more physical activity. Instructor is Patty Anderson. Cost is $40 and pre-registration is required.

  • Mondays May 3-June 14 (no class May 31); 10:30 a.m.-noon

Tai Chi at Home

Instructor Spencer Chandler offers a free, simple daily tai chi lesson weekdays from 9:05 to 9:50 a.m. No prior knowledge, skill or equipment needed. Participate as often as you wish.
