The mission of the Basic Skills- Learn to Skate Program is to provide a goal-oriented program that encourages ice skating at all levels and to enhance the quality of skating skills at these levels.
Classes are Progressional. The objectives of the Ladder program are:
The summer session runs June 13 through August 8.
Pre-registratin begins April 4. Pre-registration is only available to current students.
Online registration is available starting 8 a.m. Monday, April 18 for residents.
Online registration is available starting 8 a.m. Monday, April 25 for non-residents.
Once the class is filled, call the Front Office to be put on the waitlist.
SNOWPLOW SAM 1-3 (30min)
(Ages 3 through Kindergarten)
This is a class to teach the youngest skater to learn the basics while having fun!
5:45 p.m. (Snowplow Sam 1, 2 and 3)
6:15 p.m. (Snowplow Sam 1, 2)
PARENT/CHILD CLASS (30min)
This is a class for the young skater who is apprehensive and would like Mom or Dad on the ice with them.
5:45 - 6:15 p.m. Mondays
BASIC SKILLS 1-6 (Ages 6+) (30min)
These classes start at the beginning levels and progress to learning all the edges, crossovers and turns.
6:15 p.m., 6:45 p.m. (Basic 1)
6:15 p.m., 6:45 p.m. (Basic 2)
6:45 p.m. (Basic 3)
6:45 p.m. (Basic 4-6)
USA Hockey (Beginning Hockey and Level 1-4)
It's preferred that the skater has passed Snowplow Sam 3.
5 p.m. Mondays
Jump and Spin Basic (Levels Basic 3-8)
This class is for skaters who are interested in figure skating. Skaters will begin learning skills to incorporate jumps and spins while developing their skating skills.
Mondays June 13- Aug. 8 (no classes July 4)
Off-ice: 7-7:15 p.m.
On-ice: 7:25-8:10 p.m.
$160 (8 weeks)
*Off -ice instructions will consist of stretching, balance, off ice jumps and dance.
Adult Learn to Skate Lessons
For adults who would like to build their abilitiews and confidence on skates.
Mondays June 13-August 8 (no class on July 4)
Beginner: 6:15 p.m.
Intermediate: 6:45 p.m.
