Edina Aquatic Center to Host FlowRider Competition and Exhibition Aug. 19
Edina, Minn., July 31, 2012 – Fans of the Edina Aquatic Center’s new FlowRider surf simulator, “The Lost Wave,” will have a chance to test their budding skills against others in their age category during a surf competition Sunday, Aug. 19.
The competition will be open to all Aquatic Center guests. Contestants will be split into four categories: youth, junior, adult men’s and adult women’s. Provided there is enough interest from first timers, there may also be a novice category.
The FlowRider will also be open for practice 10 a.m. to noon. The competition itself, including awards ceremony, will run from noon to approximately 3 p.m. During that time, the attraction will not be available for use by those who are not competing in the contest.
For more information on “The Lost Wave” and other Aquatic Center attractions and amenities, visit EdinaAquaticCenter.com.
