Opus Development Company LLC is proposing to re-develop a portion of the former United Height Group site with a four-story 250-unit apartment building with 250 space underground parking ramp.

To accomodate the request, the following is required:

  • Preliminary Rezoning From PID, Planned Industrial District to MDD-5, Mixed Development District
  • Preliminary Development Plan with a surface parking stall variance from 287 surface parking stalls to 94 with a proof-of-parking plan for 170 total

Noble Investments
N/E corner of Southdale Shopping Center site.

Noble Investments is proposing to develop  the northeast corner of Southdale to construct a four-story, 146-room Hilton Hotel.

To accommodate the request, the following is required:

  • A site plan review with building setback variances from 48 to 14-24 feet on York Avenue and 48 to 21 to 46 feet for the new structure; a parking stall setback variance from 20-7 feet; and a parking stall variance for the entire Southdale site.
  • Subdivision to create a new lot on which the building would be located.

Edina Public Schools are proposing to build a 142,000-square-foot addition to the existing high school, located at 6754 Valley View Road. This project is part of a referendum passed by voters of Edina in May 2015.

Edina Community Lutheran Church
4113 W. 54th St

Edina Community Lutheran Church is proposing to build a sanctuary and kitchen addition with a new parking lot on the east side of the existing church. To accommodate the request, the parsonage home would be removed and replaced with a new parking lot. The new sanctuary would have the same seating capacity as the existing sanctuary.

To accommodate the request, the following s required:

  • As conditional use permit to construct a new 210 seat sanctuary, a 576-square-foot kitchen and new parking field.
  • A front yard setback variance 50 feet to 23 feet for the kitchen to match the existing front yard setback of the church.

  • A six/seven-story 109-unit apartment building with a first floor 10,450 square foot retail area and two levels of underground parking

Phase 2

  • A six/seven story, 77-unit apartment building with 10,711 square feet of retail space on the first level and two levels of underground parking.
  • A six-story, 48-unit apartment building with 11,162 square feet of retail space on the first level and two levels of underground parking.
