Neighborhood Parks

The City of Edina prides itself in providing premier public facilities. Besides City Hall, located at 4801 W. 50th St., the City operates a Public Works building, 7450 Metro Boulevard., and two fire stations, 6250 Tracy Ave. and 7335 York Ave.

The City also operates nearly 40 parks and recreational facilities, including Arneson Acres, Braemar Arena, Braemar Golf Courses, Braemar Golf Dome, Centennial Lakes Park, Edina Aquatic Center, Edina Art Center, Edina Senior Center, indoor Edinborough Park, Fred Richards Executive Golf Course and a dozen warming houses.

Melody Lake Park

Melody Lake Park is located at 5501 Melody Lake Drive. This beautiful four-acre park surrounds Lake Melody and its amazing wildlife.

Normandale Park

Normandale Park is a fantastic ten-acre park located in central Edina with lots of amenities for the whole family. There is a full-sized hockey rink and warming house in the winter. During the rest of the year, the whole family can enjoy a full-sized basketball court, two tennis courts and two baseball fields.

Pamela Park

Pamela Park is located in northeast Edina at 4301 W. 58th St. This sixty-two acre park features playground equipment with benches and grassy areas for picnics and relaxing.

Rosland Park

Rosland Park is 22 acres and conveniently located in the southeast corner of Highway 100 and Highway 62. Loaded with fun activities for everyone, Rosland Park offers new playground equipment, two tennis courts, a baseball field, a volleyball court, disc golf and a fishing pier.

Sherwood Park

Sherwood is located off of Sherwood Road and Edenmoor Street in northwest Edina. This two-acre park features playground equipment and a baseball backstop, as well as a large field for playing soccer, football or a game of catch.

St. Johns Park

St. Johns Park is located at West 60th Street and St. Johns Avenue. This one-acre park has a baseball backstop along with open grass for football, soccer and baseball.

Strachauer Park

Strachauer Park, located on Beard Place just north of Highway 62, is a five-acre park that features a playground, a full-sized basketball court, ice hockey rink and warming house, and two soccer fields. Strachauer Park is the perfect destination for any active family.

Tingdale Park

Tingdale Park is located on West 59th Street & Tingdale Avenue in central Edina. This area is the perfect neighborhood park, featuring a playground with a drinking fountain, benches and a baseball backstop. Large trees, perfect for picnicking and lounging, nicely shade the entire park.

Todd Park

Nestled away among the shady residential area north of Interlachen Boulevard, Todd Park combines urban recreation with rustic enjoyment. The park dons a hard-surface basketball court and softball field on its southwest corner. Across an expansive grassy field, Wimbledon hopefuls can play on two tennis courts at the park's northeast end.

Utley Park

Utley Park is located across the street from Wooddale Park on the beautiful Minnehaha Creek. This six-acre park has a wonderful gazebo with picnic benches. This park also includes two tennis courts and a new full-sized basketball court. Utley Park has lots of shady areas perfect for a picnic or a nap in the grass.

Van Valkenburg Park

Van Valkenburg Park is a 42-acre park located on Lincoln Drive in Northwest Edina. This large park is perfect for baseball games and tournaments, featuring three baseball fields, bleachers, scoreboards, and even a concessions stand and bathrooms.

Walnut Ridge Park

Walnut Ridge Park, a large 44-acre park with a 0.5-mile walking path and a small pond booming with wildlife, is located off of Londonderry Road in west Edina. Walnut Ridge Park offers playground equipment, baseball backstop, ice rink, warming house and a tennis court.

Weber Park

Weber Park is located in northeast Edina near Golden Years Montessori. This 12-acre park offers playground equipment, benches and spacious grassy areas.

Williams Park

Williams Park, on Browndale Avenue and West 50th Street in northeast Edina, is a beautiful park right on Minnehaha Creek. This .5-acre park has historical information about Edina. Williams Park is also a great spot to begin a canoe or inner tube journey down Minnehaha Creek.

Wooddale Park

Wooddale Park, located on West 50th Street and Wooddale Avenue in Northeast Edina, is a popular five-acre park. Wooddale Park's prime location attracts families of all ages from the Country Club neighborhood and 50th and France area. This park has a large playground with equipment complete with slides and swings.

York Park

York Park, on York Avenue in southeast Edina, is a two-acre park that offers playground equipment, a baseball field and open fields perfect for playing catch, soccer or tag. The park also includes a bonfire pit and grills, a fun option for tailgating or picnics.

Yorktown Park

Yorktown Park is located at 7335 York Ave. S. and connects to the north side of the Edina Promenade. The Park serves as the location for the Yorktown Park Community Garden, constructed in the spring of 2013.
