Neighborhood Parks
The City of Edina prides itself in providing premier public facilities. Besides City Hall, located at 4801 W. 50th St., the City operates a Public Works building, 7450 Metro Boulevard., and two fire stations, 6250 Tracy Ave. and 7335 York Ave.
The City also operates nearly 40 parks and recreational facilities, including Arneson Acres, Braemar Arena, Braemar Golf Courses, Braemar Golf Dome, Centennial Lakes Park, Edina Aquatic Center, Edina Art Center, Edina Senior Center, indoor Edinborough Park, Fred Richards Executive Golf Course and a dozen warming houses.

Alden Park is a five-acre park located in northwestern Edina. This hilly, grassy park is full of trees for reading or picnicking and features a beautiful path that runs through the park for walking or biking.

The park also has full sized basketball court, perfect for a game of pick up. Alden Park has playground equipment for all ages as well as benches and picnic tables that offer a comfortable seat to relax and watch the scenery.

Arden Park is an eighteen-acre park located in a lovely neighborhood near 50th Street and France Avenue along the beautiful Minnehaha Creek in northeast Edina. This park has an activity for every one who loves the outdoors. During Minnesota’s long winter months, Arden Park has one full sized hockey rink and another circular leisure skating rink complete with a warming house. It has new playground equipment, picnic benches and swings. There is also a large unfinished baseball diamond and a grass field perfect for a game of soccer. A long path runs through the park and over the creek, perfect for walking, biking and rollerblading.

The park features playground equipment and swings as well as a large field for games and a baseball backstop. The park also includes benches for relaxing and watching the children. Birchcrest is surrounded by lots of beautiful oak trees, which shade the playground. Birchcrest Park is the perfect spot for small children to run and play and also for adults to picnic and enjoy.

Bredesen Park is located off Vernon Avenue and Olinger Boulevard. Bredesen, a 206-acre park, features over two miles of walking, jogging and biking paths that surround Nine Mile Creek.

The bike path is 2.1 miles in length and the walking path is two miles. The park also includes bathrooms and drinking fountains. Nature trails weave through the center of the park, offering views of the creek and wildlife.

Cornelia Elementary School is one of six elementary public schools within the Edina School District. It is located in the southeast quadrant of Edina, Minnesota at 7000 Cornelia Drive.

The park is 10.75 acres and contains a skating and a hockey rink, a baseball and a softball field, and tennis courts. A shelter building and restrooms are also available on the site.

Baseball fans can watch and listen to the games announced through the stadium’s sound system. In the center of the fields are restrooms and concession facilities. The baseball fields are also equipped with a batting cage for practice. On the other side of the park there is a full sized football field, which can be used for soccer or football. Near the field there is also a playground, picnic benches and grills.

Creek Valley School Park is located off of West 64th Street and Gleason Road in west central Edina. This ten-acre park has something for children and adults of all ages. This is one of the largest playgrounds in Edina with plenty of swings, and slides.

It has lots of basketball hoops, grids for playing foursquare and five soccer fields. This large park also includes a large hill leading down to the soccer fields from the playground ideal for sledding in the winter.

Frank Tupa Park is located in northeast Edina on Eden Avenue, directly across from Edina City Hall. This one-acre park is the home of the Old Cahill School, visited throughout the year by students who want to experience a day of school in the 1800s.

Minnehaha Grange Hall, another historic property, is also located at the park. The Edina Historical Society oversees activities at the historic properties. Grassy areas surround the buildings.

Garden Park is a 19-acre park conveniently located on the corner of Vernon Avenue and Hansen Road in northwest Edina. This large park is the center for many soccer, baseball and softball games in the summer.

This large park is the center for many soccer, baseball and softball games in the summer. There are two full-sized soccer fields, one full-sized baseball field and one softball field. Garden Park also features two tennis courts and playground equipment. The park has a brand new bathroom facility near the baseball field.
The park has been adopted by the "Friends of Garden Park," who periodically clean up the area and plant and care for flowers.

The park features brand new equipment, from playground equipment to a full baseball field and half basketball court. Heights Park is the perfect setting for a get together with friends or a quick swing. Picnic tables and benches are also the perfect addition to the newly remodeled Heights Park.

Under state law, a city with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and salaries of its three highest-paid employees. As of Jan. 1, 2013, those positions in Edina are City Manager, $156,043; Police Chief, $129,958; and Director of Engineering, $129,958.
