Outdoor Ice Skating Rinks
The City's 12 ice skating rinks are at Arden, Cornelia School, Creek Valley, Highlands, Lewis, Normandale, Pamela, Strachauer, Todd, Walnut Ridge and Weber parks. All locations have warming houses, general skating rinks and hockey rinks, except Countryside, which does not have a hockey rink.
Dates
Rinks are scheduled to open Dec. 23 and remain open until Feb. 20, weather permitting.
Hours
Warming house hours at are 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. Hours Dec. 23 through Jan. 2 are noon to 9:30 p.m. daily. Holiday hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 24, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 31 and 1 to 8 p.m. Jan. 1. On school holidays (Jan. 16, Jan. 30 and Feb. 20, the warming houses will be open noon to 9:30 p.m.
Some rinks are reserved for youth hockey practices beginning at 6 p.m. on weekdays. Some rinks also have youth hockey games on Saturdays and Sundays. Each rink will have a schedule posted.
Outdoor skating is also available at Centennial Lakes Park.

Under state law, a city with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and salaries of its three highest-paid employees. As of Jan. 1, 2013, those positions in Edina are City Manager, $156,043; Police Chief, $129,958; and Director of Engineering, $129,958.
