Lobbying

The City of Edina and some of its departments are members to organizations that the City pays dues to that may lobby for or against legislation on the City's behalf, but does not employ a private lobbyist in St. Paul or in Washington DC. The City is member to a couple of organizations that do provide lobbyist services: League of Minnesota Cities, Metro Cities and the Municipal Legislative Commission. Below is a breakdown of dues paid to these associations and the percentage of dues used for lobbying purposes.
