Load Restrictions

Spring load restrictions end Monday, May 6, 2013 for the Twin Cities, this includes Edina.

Most residential roads are restricted to five tons per axle unless they have a permit during the restricted period of time. Permits are issued for six tons per axle. Permits are issued online, see below. A permit is good for one truck to one address for one day. The cost of a permit is $100.

Under state law, a city with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and salaries of its three highest-paid employees. As of Jan. 1, 2013, those positions in Edina are City Manager, $156,043; Police Chief, $129,958; and Director of Engineering, $129,958.
