Edinborough Park offers programs that will allow kids the opportunity to get creative, use their imagination and have some fun!

 

SING, PLAY, LEARN BY MACPHAIL CENTER FOR MUSIC

Sing, Play, Learn parent/child music and movement classes are a perfect way to carve out special time this spring with your preschooler! Taught by early childhood faculty from MacPhail Center for Music, you and your child will experience imaginative play and creativity with instruments, movement and dramatics. Sign up for as many sessions as you like, and stay and play at the park afterward for a special day of fun with your child!

Dates: Tuesdays, 10:15-11 a.m.
Sept. 13, Sept. 27, Oct. 11, Oct. 25, Nov. 15, Nov. 22, Dec. 13, Jan.10, Jan. 24, Feb. 14, Feb. 28

Location: Edinborough Park Amphitheater

Cost: $10/session (Sing, Play, Learn class only)
         $16.50/session (includes Edinborough Park wristband to stay and play)

PRESCHOOL PLAY-A-DAY CLASSES BY STAGES THEATER COMPANY (Ages 3-5)

Friday mornings with your preschooler just got better! Stages Theatre Company is thrilled to offer a new six-week class at Edinborough Park for your favorite preschool-aged child. Each book-themed class begins with parent/caregiver participation, then evolves into play creation with students and teaching artists (while parents enjoy their morning coffee or a walk around the track), and ends with a performance of the story for parents. Pre-registration is required; minimum 6, maximum 14.

            Nov. 11: Elephant and Piggie
            Nov. 18: That Day the Crayons Came Home
            Dec. 2: Fox in Socks

            Jan. 27: Are You my Mother?
            Feb. 10: Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus
            Feb. 17: Barnyard Dance
            March 3: Dragons Love Tacos
            March 10: The Very Hungry Caterpillar

MUSICAL TROLLEY CLASS BY MACPHAIL CENTER FOR MUSIC (Ages 4-6)

CRASH, BOOM, BANG, ZING! Musical Trolley students explore and play a variety of percussion instruments, from temple blocks to timpani, as well as many different stringed folk instruments. Through songs, instruments and creative movement, children learn about musical concepts such as piano/forte, tempo, pitch and musical form. Pre-registration is required by Oct. 12. Minimum 8, maximum 12
