HRA

The Edina Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) was established in 1974 for the purpose of undertaking urban redevelopment projects and assisting with the development of affordable housing.

The HRA has been the driving force behind the 50th and France commercial area renewal, as well as the Edinborough and Centennial Lakes mixed development projects.  In addition, the HRA facilitated the development of a number of low- and moderate-income housing developments including Yorkdale Townhomes, Oak Glen, Summit Point and South Haven.

The members of the City Council comprise the five-member board of commissioners of the HRA. Staff services are provided by City staff.
