The Clark Gift Shop, named in honor of supporters Ron and Sandy Clark, began on the screened back porch of the Art Center. At the time, heavy canvas curtains had to be lowered at closing to protect the merchandise. In 1990, the porch was combined with the original garage of the building to form an enclosed reception area with gifts and supplies. Another donation from the Clarks in 1998 helped to make the area more visitor-friendly.
Today, the Gift Shop promotes the artwork of 275 local and regional artists hand-selected by a Gift Shop committee. This prominent space greets visitors as they first enter the Art Center. Displays of ceramics, jewelry, paintings, photographs and many other hand-crafted gifts are available for purchase year-round. During the winter holidays, the Gift Shop and Gallery are transformed into a Holiday Sale that runs from the beginning of November through Christmas Eve.
Please ask our staff for assistance in choosing gifts, they are happy to help.
Artists interested in having artwork for sale in the Gift Shop should contact our Gift Shop Coordinator to schedule a meeting.
