Raku Workshop

Class/Program number: 3059

Where: Edina Art Center
4701 W. 64th St.
Edina, Minnesota

When:10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Steve Hemmingway

Learn from this highly accomplished artist his approach to applying and firing colorful, crackle raku glazes in the Art Center's new outdoor Raku kilns. Steve's work is influenced by the forces of nature and worldwide cultures, often creating pieces related to the seasons, migrations and geography of areas visted. As a natural progression, Steve's clay work has become a canvas to present an idea, emotion or metaphor as a three dimensional work of art. Each student is asked to bring two 3/4 inch tall cone 04 bisque, t-bowls or tumblers to glaze and fire. Bring a dish to share for a potluck lunch.
