Equipment Operations Division

The Equipment Operations Division within Public Works is charged with the maintenance, repair, licensing and initial set up of more than 350 pieces of rolling stock, including automobiles, pickups, heavy trucks of every description, snowplows, mowers, front-end loaders, backhoes, street sweepers, fire trucks, ambulances and police cars, along with many smaller pieces of equipment too numerous to mention.

The City's rolling stock is valued at more than $8 million dollars.

Five technicians and one supervisor/technician, along with one Administrative Assistant, use their wide range of skills and experience to keep the City's fleet ready at all times to keep Edina safe and continue to make it a great place to live and work.

Under state law, a city with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and salaries of its three highest-paid employees. As of Jan. 1, 2013, those positions in Edina are City Manager, $156,043; Police Chief, $129,958; and Director of Engineering, $129,958.
