What's Up With The Weather?
Our Changing Climate And What We Can Do About It

Major meteorological events, like super storm Sandy in October 2012 that ravaged parts of New England have more people wondering about climate change. What is science telling us about the increasing intensity and frequency of such events?

The City of Edina’s Energy and Environment Commission hoped to answer those questions with the “What Up With The Weather?” presentation 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18. The event began with a resource fair at 6 p.m. at Edina High School’s Fick Auditorium.

Meteorologist Paul Douglas and J. Drake Hamilton, Science Policy Director for Fresh Energy explained what ‘normal weather” is, what science is telling us and showed the fingerprints of climate change.
