The use of three chalks allows the artist not only to explore light and shade but also the subtle hue shifts characteristic of living flesh. Emphasis will be on drawing throughout and character likeness, facial anatomy and structure and form modeling. We will be working from a live model. Instructor Lisa Webskowski works from her home studio as a portrait artist and free-lance illustrator. Lisa also worked as a police composite artist for eleven years. She will teach you how to draw the face in graphite pencil. You will learn anatomical proportion, shading and basic skills of portraiture. You will learn how muscle and bone structure work together to form a face. Lisa will share many interesting techniques that she has learned during her career.
