This 2.5-hour workshop is an introduction to using polymer clay; a versatile medium used for making anything from beads and boxes to tiles and sculptures. In this workshop we will explore the basic construction of a colorful, unique creature born of your own imagination. Anjee, with 25 years of experience working with polymer clay, will guide you through the basic steps of building a sculpted creature, while leaving the design open to whimsy.

Students will be introduced to the ancient fine art of mosaic tiling by creating and designing their own colorful mosaic artwork. The process includes creating a design in clay, glazing and firing it, laying the mosaic tile in place, and grouting.  This is a great class to take with your child. Students must purchase clay and firing fees.

Making things from clay and throwing pots on the wheel touches something primal in us. We will supply all you need to learn the basic process, make, trim, and glaze several pieces. This 4-week class is designed as a basic introduction class.  A fun class to take with your child. *No class July 7.
