For hockey and figure skating enthusiasts, Braemar Arena features three indoor, regulation-size ice sheets. Braemar is available for open skating, group rental, adult and youth hockey, figure skating programs and birthday parties.
The facility also offers group skating lessons for ages 3 through adult. Braemar Arena is home to the Braemar-City of Lakes Figure Skating Club, the Edina Hornets hockey teams and the Edina Hockey Association.

Here's your chance to get on the ice, meet the instructors and get registered. If it's been a while, you can have an evaluation to make sure that you are placed in the correct class. General Sports will be there to check the fit of your skates and you will be able to make sure your equipment is ready to go for the first week of lessons!

Interested in running a 5K but don't know where to start? Join our class this Fall with a certified running instructor to help guide you through a training program!
Braemar Arena is also offering Barre Classes this Fall for adults and a class for newborn mothers and their babies. Barre brings back the basics of dance and combines it with a bit of pilates, yoga, and strength training.

Braemar Arena is proud to offer the "Braemar Card." Similar to a debit card, it can be used for our concessions, open skate, skate rental and/or for developmental ice and hockey. You can purchase your Braemar Card here! Braemar Cards will be mailed to the address provided in the registration. Pre-registration (for those currently enrolled in classes) for the Fall session starts July 27th.
Resident registration opens August 17th

SNOWPLOW SAM 1-3 (30min)
(Ages 3 through Kindergarten)
This is a class to teach the youngest skater to learn the basics while having fun!

PARENT/CHILD CLASS (30min)
This is a class for the young skater who is apprehensive and would like Mom or Dad on the ice with them.
BASIC SKILLS 1-6 (Ages 6+) (30min)
These classes start at the beginning levels and progress to learning all the edges, crossovers and turns.

CIRCUIT AND SKILL TRAINING (Basic 2 and up) (30min)
JUMP AND SPIN CLASS (Basic 3-8) (60min)
This 60 minute class is for skaters who are interested in figure skating. Skaters will begin learning the skills to incorporate jumps and spins while developing their skating skills
Session 1: September 15- October 6 (4 weeks)
Session 2: October 27- December 15 (7 weeks)
NEW! MUSICAL THEME SKATE CLASS (Basic 3-Freestyle 2) (30min)
This class has a different musical theme each week. Skaters will have fun learning skating skills while learning to interpret different types of music. Themes include: 50's Rock & Roll, Michael Jackson, Disney, Country, Broadway, Spooky Tunes, Disco, and Latin.
This class is for those 4-6 year olds that have passed out of Snowplow Sam 3. The class will focus on skating skills with some stick handling.
Develop skating skills while incorporating a stick. Must pass Snowplow Sam 1 prior to enrollment.
ADULT LEARN TO SKATE (30min)
For adult beginners or those that want to improve their skills.
NEW! ADULT SKATERSIZE AND COFFEE (45min)
Exercise to music on ice and then socialize and sip coffee in the Lobby.
HOCKEY MOMS ON ICE (45min)
Want to play hockey like your child or friends? Come learn how to incorporate skating and hockey to prepare you to be the next Hockey Mom on Ice!
POWER HOCKEY (45min)
Enhance your skate skills for Season play! The class will primarily focus on skating skills through drills, repetition, and development. This class will help the skater prepare for mite hockey.
Mite 1&2: 12:45pm
Mite 3&4: 1:30pm
HOMESCHOOL SKATING LESSONS (30min)
This 30 minute class is for homeschoolers that want to learn to skate or imprve their current skills. Practice is is from 10:45-11:15am.
