Hole 1

The opening hole plays between 104 yards from the Forward Tees to 242 yards from the Tournament Tees. The tee boxes were aligned so that the further back a golfer plays, the more of the pond you will need to hit over. The green slopes gently from the back left to the front right and is guarded by a small sand bunker on the left side. The right side is not a bad place to miss. A shot to the left brings the bunker in to play and will likely leave a downhill putt.

Hole 2

The second hole is positioned where the original fourth hole was located. However, those familiar with the course will recognize that this is a completely different hole. The hole has been lengthened, threes were added and the green was lowered to make it more receptive yet challenging to play. Unhealthy trees that previously narrowed the playing corridor and limited sunlight have been removed to produce better playing conditions. The green has a subtle shelf which creates an upper and lower pin position. Take plently of club as this hole plays uphill and some shots that go long will roll back on to the green.

Hole 3

Hole three is an entirely new golf hole carved our of the oak forest on the northeat portion of Braemar Park. We painstakingly located the oak trees and then cleared the buckthorn and less desirable trees to find this hidden jewel. The green sits on top of a hill that falls away in all directions. The new hole plays anywhere from 74 yards at the Forward Tee to 123 yards from the Tournament Tee. It's a short hole, but it requires an accurate tee shot to keep the ball on the putting surface.

Hole 4

The fourth hole is another completely new golf hole. It plays downhill to a green that, depending on the pin position and tee location, can be partially obscured by a large 150 year old oak tree. Balls that hit off line to the right will likely feed back on to the putting surface. The hole plays anywhere from 70 yards at the Forward Tee to 114 yards from the Tournament Tee. Take notice of the old limestone retaining wall left over from the old homestead.

Hole 5

The fifth hole is a new hole that plays to the location of the old fifth green site. The hole plays downhill and does not have any bunkers, but golfers that miss the green will have to contend with uneven lies and awkward stances for errant shots. It also features a Mini-Biarritz green (a putting green that features a gully or swale bisecting its middle) to challenge golfers. The wetland to the right of the green has been cleaned out and expanded to improve water quality and habitat for wildlife. The new hole plays anywhere from 108 yards from the Forward Tee to 177 yards from the Tournament Tee.

Hole 6

The new sixth hole is located in the same location as the original sixth hole. It plays anywhere from 88 yards from the Forward Tee to 176 yards from the Tournament Tee. We've moved the green, added some undulations and provided some visual separation from the passing road traffic. The water feature to the right was enlarged to hold community storm water and to enhance the aesthetics of the golf hole. The putting green gently slopes from the back left to the front right.

Hole 7

The new seventh hole is essentially the first half of the original par 4 seventh hole. The green sits where the first landing was located. The cross bunker creates an optical illusion and is much further from the green than it appears. There is plenty of room to the right and left of the green for a safe shot and is deepo enough if you were to challenge the bunker. The new hole plays anywhere from 94 yards from the Forward Tee to 215 yards from the Tournament Tee.

Hole 8

The eighth hole is essentially the second half of the original seventh hole. The green sits where the old seventh green was located. We've repositioned and enlarged the green, repositioned the bunker and added a run-off area behind the green. The hole plays uphill so do not be afraid to take an extra club and favor the right side. The new hole plays anywhere from 86 yards from the Forward Tee to 132 yards from the Tournament Tee. Those familiar with the course will notice that the area to the right of the fairway and green have been cleared of buckthorn and other invasive species and replaced with native prairie plantings.

Hole 9

The ninth hole is a great finishing hole. The tees and green have been expanded, forced-carries over the wetland have been eliminated and some interesting undulations in both the fairway and putting surface have been added. The new hole plays anywhere from 118 yards from the Forward Tee to 198 yards from the Tournament Tee.
