Park Board

The 12-member Park Board develops and reviews plans for the acquisition and development of parks and recreational facilities, develops recreation programs, reviews parkland dedications for new subdivisions and makes recommendations to the Council.

Board Members

The Park Board is made up of 12 appointed members (including two student members). Each member of the Board, which includes a member of the Edina Public Schools Board of Education, serves a three-year term.

Current Park Board members include student Yasmeen Almog, Cathy Cella, David Deeds, Dan Gieseke, Joseph Hulbert, Susan Jacobson, Ellen Jones, student John O'Leary, Daniel Peterson, Kathryn Peterson, Louise Segreto and chair Keeya Steel.

Staff Liaison is Parks & Recreation Department Director Ann Kattreh.

Meetings

All meetings are open to the public.

7 p.m. 
2nd Tuesday of the month

When the second Tuesday falls on a national holiday or Election Day, the meeting is typically moved to the following Wednesday.

Government Corner

Under state law, a city with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and salaries of its three highest-paid employees. As of Jan. 1, 2013, those positions in Edina are City Manager, $156,043; Police Chief, $129,958; and Director of Engineering, $129,958.
