Community Health Committee

The Community Health Committee researches, studies and evaluates the needs concerning the health and environment of the City of Edina.

The group advises the City Council (Board of Health) of its findings relating to the needs of the health and environment of the residents of the City of Edina.

The group meets six times per year, typically from 6:30-8:30 p.m. the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Each of the nine members serves a three-year term. For more information, contact Community Health Administrator Sherry Engelman, 952-826-0464.

Current members of the Committee are Jeff Bartleson, Kumar Belani, Matt Doscotch, Janet Johnson, Mary Jo Kingston, student Kaia Lindquist, Nancy Ott-Pinckaers, Carolyn Peterson, student Helen Risser and Adnan Qureshi.

Under state law, a city with a population of more than 15,000 must annually notify its residents of the positions and salaries of its three highest-paid employees. As of Jan. 1, 2013, those positions in Edina are City Manager, $156,043; Police Chief, $129,958; and Director of Engineering, $129,958.
